Whitman Today

Hope this message finds you all doing well. As we head into the 2022-23 AY, we will be continuing to leverage Whitman Today as a component in our community engagement and outreach process.

Last year, each Wednesday there was a feature from the Division of Diversity and Inclusion (you can find those in the Updates section of our website).

For the coming year, there are three dates where we plan to do Division Updates and I will be reaching out to a few of you in advance to obtain submissions from your areas.

Those dates will be:

• the first week of November (area updates due to John October 31)

• the second week of February (updates to John February 6)

• the third week of April (updates due to John April 7)

There may be some fluctuation with these dates depending on program and event schedules, but this is a rough sense of when these updates should be anticipated.

I would also like to know if there are any topics you want to address during the semester. The opportunity to write up something for our Wednesday entry for Whitman Today is available. I would just need to know what you had in mind and if we move forward with that suggestion we will want to coordinate and communicate with Bradley (copied here) who is responsible for Whitman internal communications.

I have put together a tentative schedule for Whitman Today Wednesdays this semester. Please take a look and let me know if you have any suggested changes or topics you want to lift up in the newsletter.
