Ceramics

Session I: 1:00pm - 3:00pm

Session II: 3:00pm - 5:00pm

Location: The Refinery, 205 S. 2nd Avenue | map

Put simply, clay is an incredible medium. It’s therapeutic, tactile, and forgiving. This two-hour workshop at The Refinery will give you an opportunity to experience these benefits and make a unique, hand-built creation of your very own.

Participants attending this workshop should wear clothes and comfortable shoes that they don’t mind getting a little dirty (don’t worry though; clay washes off with water) and bring a refillable water bottle for hydration. Finished pieces will be shipped approximated three weeks after they’re finished.

Yoga

Session II: 4:00pm - 5:30pm

Local yoga instructor Christel Joy Johnson (E-RYT® 500, YACEP®) teaches alignment-based yoga classes, weaving in ways to get into our Parasympathetic System (“rest and digest”) in order to move towards replenishing our bodies, while focusing on alignment to help keep the body safe and the mind focused & present. “We will be doing this through gentle movement and restorative poses which I will give modifications for so hopefully all of us can find a "home".”
